"Poems for Your Scrapbook"
My grandmother saved everything, lucky for me as my family's official archivist. I found these poems in a small black two-ring notebook—they were stuck in between pages. I'm not sure if my grandmother cut these out of a newspaper herself or if her Aunt Bertha did, as both were alive at the time I think these were from—a few were dated "copyright 1939 Boston Traveler." The poems "Solitude," "Understanding," and "Her Grief Clothes Her with Beauty" are my favorites. Which do you like the best? (click on each image to enlarge)
