(Not to be confused with Project 2025)
With the current political climate in the United States, I wasn't sure I was in the right headspace to participate in #The100DayProject. Should I skip it this year or should I give it a try—art is therapy, right? Forcing myself to work on something creative every day and sharing it could be beneficial. I decided that I would try once again to join the challenge with hope that I could remain somewhat sane during the process and overcome the negativity swirling all around me.
It ended up being an experiment of sorts and was a bit all over the place as you will see. I tried to start out with some happy and positive images, but with so much going on in the United States, it was a big challenge. From Trump wanting to cut down trees in public lands, wasting tax payer's money on golf, to dismantling the Department of Education, going after social security, and defunding libraries and museums....the list just goes on. It's never ending. This was by far the hardest year doing this project. While grueling, it was both educational and I do have to admit, therapeutic. Hopefully we are in much place when it comes around next year!
